"I do technical massage with heart, because the heart is the most important muscle in the body."
"Tension is who you think you should be. Relaxation is who you are."
-Chinese Proverb-
Charlee Zoë Sandall has been practicing massage since 2002 and has provided over 19,000 hours of licensed professional massage treatment. Her 22 year history of studying anatomy/physiology, plants & herbalism, body mechanics, and hands-on technique brings detailed experience to her treatment session. She seamlessly integrates deep tissue, injury treatment and relaxation techniques. She applies different massage modalities and client education to treat a variety of conditions ranging from injury treatment to stress management while empowering others to realize their body's full physical and energetic potential.
In 2006 Zoë expanded her practice to include Craniosacral therapy completing a Biodynamic Craniosacral technical program. This subtle, powerful technique can provide lasting change and resolution of pain and dysfunction where other approaches have been unsuccessful. She completed a 16-month advanced integrated Craniosacral training program in March 2019 to further practicing this modality to the best of her ability.
As of January 2024, with her commitment to comprehensive healthcare and professional science education, Zoe started full-time at Seattle Central College pursuing a RN degree: Equity and Social Justice Emphasis. A rigorous 20-month program designed to prepare students to take the licensing exam to become a practicing Registered Nurse. She is on the President's list. Zoe is registered with the Department of Health as a Certified Nurses Assistant.
With her history of athletics, love of education, massage, and her community, Zoë is able to care for injured bodies and tender hearts, and help improve the being of humanity one hour at a time.

The safety of my community remains my number one priority and my mask policy will update regularly with current Department of Health recommendations. Patients have the option of wearing a mask and I will mask on a case by case basis. I will always wear a mask at patient's request.
I am fully vaccinated and implement recommended screening, sanitation & disinfection, air filtering and appointment spacing practices to reduce the risk of spread and transmission of any communicable illness (who wants the stress of a common cold right now.) No activity is risk free. Please call or email with any questions and I will be happy to discuss these practices and risks with you to help you make an informed decision about scheduling.
I'm honored to work with and sensitive to the needs of queer, transgender, and gender non-conforming patients. I have 8 years of experience working with people diagnosed with ALS. My office is fully accessible and I am skilled in working around mobility devices. I understand implicit bias in the healthcare setting and I seek to diminish and eradicate it in my practice through listening, compassion and education.

"I’ve been receiving therapeutic massage and craniosacral therapy from Zoë for six years now and I don’t know what state my body would be in without her. She has immense technical skill without forgoing an intuitive touch. I have been referring people to her for years and everyone has been very impressed with her knowledge, experience and skill. She meets her patients where they are and tunes in to what the body needs most to heal."

Massage therapy is great stuff in all its forms. It offers relaxation in an overstressed world, sanctuary in an hour, mind-body connections for desk jockeys, performance enhancement for athletes, and most importantly, healing for many who have looked high and low in vain for alternatives. There is virtually something for everyone. Massage is potent and transformational.
The benefits of massage include:
Regular massage therapy will positively affect the quality of your life. Bodywork builds upon itself and regularly receiving quality, therapeutic touch will hasten you towards a more active, flexible, peaceful and healthy life.

Craniosacral Therapy is a method of treatment used by massage therapists, naturopaths, chiropractors and osteopaths, who manually apply a subtle rocking of the spinal and cranial bones to bring the central nervous system into parasympathetic harmony. This therapy involves assessing and palpating for the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), which can be restricted by trauma or stress to the body, such as through falls, accidents, general nervous tension, emotional stress, broken bones, orthodontia, motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, difficult childbirth and the like.
CSF moves in rhythm called a Tide, the cyclical wave of the fluid within the membrane around the brain and spinal cord; a pulse not unlike the blood flow pulse, palpated by the gentle touch of skilled hands. CST gently works with the spine, cranium, fascia and it’s continuum of connecting structures down to the toes. With this treatment, the restrictions of fascial nerve passages are eased, the movement of CSF through the spinal canal can be encouraged, and well-being is optimized.
This therapy is said to be particularly indicated for “over active mind,” “computer neck” and back pain, anxiety, migraines or chronic headaches, vertigo, TMJ/TMD, hip pain/dysfunction, Parkinson’s disease. It is also offers relief for chronic nervous conditions such as stressful live changes, digestive trouble, traumatic experience (vigilant holding patterns generated by abuse or attack for instance,) or PTSD. It is also gentle enough to provide comforting therapeutic touch for people undergoing cancer treatment.
A typical session lasts one hour while you lie comfortable and clothed on a table. The therapist typically begins by placing her hand on your head, sections of your spine or tailbone, or lower legs.
Sensations can vary. Many people become quickly quiet in their mind, deeply relaxed, lucid or sleepy. You may have a heightened awareness of your body, feel warmth, a decrease in pain or great stillness. Afterwards you may feel grounded, relaxed and introspective, calm. Even if you don’t feel much during your initial sessions it is important to remember that profound changes are occurring on a subtle level. One will begin to feel the shift in thier body as treatment continues, much like one begins to see and feel changes with regular exercise.
